Step 7 in forming a business properly is obtaining your business entity. This is the most critical step that people tend to skip.

It’s very easy to think “I’ll do that later” or “I’ll do that once the business is successful”.  These are really big mistakes when it comes to starting a business properly. 

You need to get this step right or you’re leaving yourself and also your family at great financial risk.  Without a business entity such as an LLC if your business gets into trouble, gets sued, or is found liable for anything, then you are personally liable. 

This is unacceptable risk, especially when an LLC is an easy solution.  You may think it’s too complex to form an LLC, it sounds tough.
