Step 6 In Starting A Business Properly

When it comes to starting a business you may wonder what are the proper steps to take and in what order? We wanted to make a quick video series that may help.

Choose Business Name!

Step 6 in forming a business properly is choosing a business name.  You’ll want to do all you can to make sure that your name has never been used before in your state. 

You don’t want any conflicts around the name of the business so you’ll want to do some checking with google and also your states corporation commission site or secretary of state. 

Many states have a “business name search” feature on the states website to help with these searches so look for that in your state. 

Anyway the important thing here is to decide on the exact name you want for your business and make sure it’s never been used in your state.
